Product Introduction Balanced Salt Solution (BSS), also known as Physiological Solution, combines the features of buffering function of buffer, isotonicity of normal saline, and the nutrient supply of the culture medium. It works to maintain osmotic pressure, stabilize pH stability and provide simple nutrition, meeting the basic survival and metabolism needs of tissues, organs and cells in in vitro experiments. Some BSS are added with a small amount of phenol red to indicate pH value changes.
Krebs-Hensleit's Solution is a balanced salt solution jointly developed by the famous biochemist Krebs and his student Hensleit. Its components mainly include NaCl, KCl, KH2PO4, MgSO4, CaCl2, NaHCO3 and glucose. Krebs-Hensleit's Solution is suitable for various tissues of mammals, and is often used for perfusion of isolated tracheal strips, hearts and livers.
