2-NBDG Glucose Uptake Cell-Based Kit (E-CK-A441)

For research use only.
Detection Principle | 2-NBDG Reagent is a green fluorescently labeled deoxyglucose analog with the same transporters (GLUTs) and similar transport kinetics as D-glucose.It is allowed to be phosphorylated by hexokinase because of a modification at the C-2 position. When it enters the cell, it is phosphorylated by hexokinase at the C-6 position to produce 2-NBDG-6-phosphate (a fluorescent derivative). Thus the fluorescence intensity reflects the glucose uptake. |
